This is the first time in the history of the JDC competition that the University of Ottawa has finished first overall, and the fourth time that it has finished in the top three. Last year, the University of Ottawa finished 2nd overall bringing in a record 14 trophies back. This year JDC was hosted by l’Université du Québec à Montréal from January 2-5, 2009.
The Telfer School won the following trophies:

The 14 trophies won represent an all time record for the Telfer School of Management. It is the third time in the history of the Jeux du commerce that the University of Ottawa has placed in the top 3 in the overall standings. In 1997, the team finished 3rd when the games were held in Ottawa, and in 1995, they finished 2nd overall when the competition was held, coincidently enough, in Trois-Rivières.
